Update 4/2/12 Last week, my priest gave me the letter from H.E. Archbishop Demetrios (dated 3/21/12) that announces the new, official English text and melody of the hymn "Christ is Risen." I have revised the eMatins texts and music to reflect the official text and melody.

Notice to Our Users

Starting on Sunday, June 10, 2012, we are presenting an improved text for the Resurrectional Evlogetaria.

Starting with Sunday, June 21 2009, the following changes will appear in the English texts of the Matins Ordinary and the Matins and other services:

1. Psalms and Old Testament scriptures have been taken from the St. Athanasius Academy Septuagint™ (SAAS), from the Orthodox Study Bible.

2. The texts of the Priest and Deacon parts are from the Web Site of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (www.goarch.org).

3. The Menaion, published by Holy Transfiguration Monastery, Brookline MA, is a source reference for the Synaxarion materials.
