Notice to Our Users

Starting with Sunday, June 21 2009, the following changes will appear in the English texts of the Matins Ordinary and the Matins and other services:

1. Psalms and Old Testament scriptures have been taken from the St. Athanasius Academy Septuagint™ (SAAS), from the Orthodox Study Bible.

2. The texts of the Priest and Deacon parts are from the Web Site of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America (www.goarch.org).

3. The Menaion, published by Holy Transfiguration Monastery, Brookline MA, is a source reference for the Synaxarion materials.

Additional Materials Column

Mainly for special musical texts, this new column will help our users to gather some of the necessary music and texts to better carry out the Matins services.
